I returned to web design after 15 years in sales.

I have always loved building websites. I built my first one in 1999 when I was 12 years old, during the era of Angelfire, GeoCities, and the early personal web, when websites felt strange, expressive, and alive.

I even spent my Grade 8 summer in a webmaster summer school for nerdy kids, back when “webmaster” was what they called people who built websites. Here’s proof.

Angelfire and GeoCities eventually disappeared, but the feeling they gave me never really did.

The Practical Path

Somewhere along the way, growing up with immigrant Indian parents in the early 2000s, I absorbed a very specific version of success. After high school, I ended up at McMaster University as a science student, thinking I was going to become a doctor, pharmacist, or something in that world.

That ended up being an abysmal failure.

15 Years in Sales

After a few difficult years, with no degree and no obvious marketable skills, I landed an entry-level role at RBC Insurance in their sales advisor training program. That path eventually led me to Zensurance, one of Canada’s fastest growing insurtech companies, where I worked my way into a top-performing Senior New Business Manager role.

Insurance felt foreign to me at first, but sales, communication, trust-building, and understanding how people make decisions came naturally.

That foundation is what I bring into every website I build today.

Returning to Design

Most people treat websites like something good to have. A place to look professional, explain what they do, and give people a way to get in touch.

But I think a good website does something much deeper than that.

It helps people feel the meaning behind a business: the care in the work, the standards behind the service, the founder’s obsession that brought it to life, and the type of client it is built to serve.

Most websites never get that far. They do not capture what makes a business feel human, trustworthy, and worth choosing.

That is what I try to bring out.

My work is about turning that deeper understanding into a website that feels clear, premium, persuasive, and true to the business behind it.

I believe that when a website is done well, it does not just make you look good. It makes your value impossible to miss.
